Nvidia vs AMD Which one should you choose?

The battle between NVIDIA and AMD is just heating up in 2025, and it’s not just a competition of power anymore, but one of value, features, and preparing for the future of GPU’s. So today we will hopefully lay land so you can pick the best one for you.

NVIDIA

NVIDIA dropped the RTX 50 series in January of this year, and it has broken many expectations. The open approach to multi-frame generation, which uses artificial intelligence to generate additional frames to offer higher frame rates when gaming, has been fun to tweak. The extra VRAM in these cards is important in delivering smoother graphics too. But the increase in raw graphics performance is disappointingly small. But those price tags are just painful to watch.

AMD

AMD, while not as big as NVIDIA, has been grinding their way through GPU space. Their newest release, the Radeon RX 9070, put them closer than they had ever been to NVIDIA. Even though AMD’s new GPUs remain well behind Nvidia’s in complex ray tracing scenarios. Performance is great in lighter RT loads; however, the $549 Radeon RX 9070 is flat-out faster than the $549 RTX 5070 when you average out the combined results from all games in our suite.

Conclusion

So even though NVIDIA is the more popular brand with the newest features. AMD should not be underestimated though, if you’re looking for a cheaper option that still holds it worth it you should go AMD. But if you want a flashier performance and that ultra-high end, feel NVIDIA should be your choice.
